The luminous, mirrored surface of the Polished Nickel hardware offsets the deeply ribbed texture of the original prismatic glass Holophane shade and gives the pendant light a more modern aesthetic. Simple reproduction hardware allows the antique Holophane glass shade to be the center of attention.
Originally manufactured in the USA (OH/PA/WV) from the 1920’s1950’s, they were used to illuminate our U.S. factories, gymnasiums, power plants, etc.
The marks / imperfections inherent in the glass after decades of use attest to their durability and history.
