Portfolio: Outdoor Lanterns for an Art's & Crafts Seaside Cottage
The charming seaside Arts & Crafts cottage shown above is a new dwelling built by Windover Construction of Massachusetts. The newly constructed guest house was designed to look like a period carriage house and meant to coordinate with the main 1920’s home on the waterfront property. The entrance of the guest cottage has historic architectural details such as traditionally glazed sidelights with a matching multi-pane door and a steeply pitched open gable. Our high quality handcrafted Stonehaven Lantern 12 inch Wide Solid Stem Exterior Pendant Light hangs from the center of the gable. The larger scale outdoor pendant lantern provides functional illumination to the porch steps and doorway while adding appropriate decorative architectural detail. Shown in genuine Verdigris Patina with Cream art glass panels, our customers chose the Cross Cut overlay option for the hanging pendant. The X design in the lantern presents a distinct and striking contrast to the many straight vertical and horizontal lines of the cottage.
